Music in R Schools is a California Non-Profit Corporation 501 (c) 3.  This non profit was formed in 2003 in response to the decline in funding for school music programs.  

MIRS is dedicated to assisting band and orchestra programs in public and private schools.  The opportunity for all students to experience the many benefits of learning to play a musical instrument is vital to the overall well being and growth of our children. 

 To this end MIRS has several educational and fund supporting programs to help public and private music programs through these times of a down economy and financial stress.
